Tournament models

Although all were built for long-distance casting, the main differences lie in the target fish species, the required casting distance and the line thickness. The 3000–5000–35 series have a 35 mm stroke, with the 3000–5000 models featuring a drag system and being designed for medium to heavy lines and larger fish, while the 35 series are casting reels without drag, designed for very long casts, light to medium lines and smaller fish. The 45 series is set apart by its 45 mm stroke and lack of a drag system, and was primarily designed for even longer casts, extra light to medium lines and smaller fish. The 6000–9000 series are powerful reels with a 45 mm stroke and a drag system, designed for very heavy lines and big fish. Both the 3000–5000 and 6000–9000 series with drag carry the ‘Entoh’ (遠投) name, meaning long distance casting. The dragless 35 and 45 series do not carry the name, although they are also true long cast reels.
